Position Overview
Cambay Solutions—a Microsoft Solutions Partner and Great Place to Work® certified organization— is expanding its Microsoft Dynamics 365 practice across North America. We help organizations modernize their ERP operations by delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions that improve financial management, operational efficiency, business processes, and overall organizational performance.
We are seeking an experienced D365 Business Central Senior Consultant to lead functional consulting and implementation activities for Business Central projects. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and technical consultants to analyze business requirements, configure Business Central solutions, support data migration, conduct user training, and ensure successful ERP implementations.
This is a remote-first role open to candidates based in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business process discovery workshops and gather functional and technical requirements.
- Analyze client business processes and recommend Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central best practices.
- Configure and implement Business Central modules including Financial Management, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Manufacturing, Project Management, and Service Management.
- Prepare functional design documents (FDDs), business process documentation, gap-fit analysis, and solution specifications.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects and Technical Consultants to design and implement scalable Business Central solutions.
- Support data migration, system integration, testing, cutover planning, and production deployment activities.
- Conduct Conference Room Pilots (CRPs), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and end-user training sessions.
- Provide post-go-live support, issue resolution, system optimization, and continuous improvement recommendations.
- Work with Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI, and Microsoft 365 to enhance Business Central capabilities.
- Assist in project planning, effort estimation, risk identification, and status reporting.
- Ensure solution quality by following Microsoft implementation methodologies and best practices.
- Mentor junior consultants and contribute to reusable templates, documentation, and delivery standards.
- Stay current with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central product updates, Copilot capabilities, and emerging technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of ERP consulting experience.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Strong functional knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central modules.
- Experience delivering multiple end-to-end Business Central implementation and upgrade projects.
- Strong understanding of finance, accounting, purchasing, sales, inventory management, warehouse management, manufacturing, project management, and service management processes.
- Experience with Business Central configuration, setup, security roles, workflows, and approval processes.
- Knowledge of data migration tools, RapidStart Services, Configuration Packages, and Business Central upgrade methodologies.
- Experience working with Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Microsoft 365, and Business Central integrations.
- Familiarity with AL extensions, Business Central customization, and integration concepts.
- Excellent analytical, consulting, communication, and client relationship management skills.
- Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid implementation methodologies.
Required Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals (Preferred)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (Preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- Consulting or Microsoft Partner/System Integrator experience.
- Experience implementing Business Central for Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail, Professional Services, Healthcare, or Financial Services organizations.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Copilot for Business Central, Power Platform, Microsoft Fabric, and AIdriven business applications.
- Experience integrating Business Central with Dynamics 365 CRM, Microsoft 365, Azure services, ISV applications, and third-party systems.
- Familiarity with AppSource solutions, EDI integrations, banking interfaces, payroll systems, and tax solutions.
- Strong understanding of business process improvement, ERP modernization, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Additional Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365, Azure, or Power Platform.
