We help organizations modernize and streamline their ERP operations by delivering scalable Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions that improve financial management, operational efficiency, supply chain visibility, and business performance.
We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary D365 Business Central Solutions Architect to lead end-to-end solution architecture for enterprise ERP transformation initiatives. This individual will collaborate with business stakeholders, project teams, and executive leadership to design secure, scalable, and high-performing Business Central solutions while serving as a trusted advisor throughout the implementation lifecycle.
This is a remote-first role open to candidates based in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and design of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions from discovery through deployment.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable ERP solution architectures aligned with Microsoft best practices.
- Design end-to-end Business Central solutions covering Financial Management, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Manufacturing, Project Management, Service Management, and Supply Chain operations.
- Define enterprise solution architecture, governance standards, technical design documents, and implementation roadmaps.
- Architect integrations between Business Central and Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft 365, Dataverse, Azure Integration Services, Dynamics 365 CRM, ISV applications, and third-party enterprise systems.
- Design secure, scalable, and high-availability Business Central environments following Microsoft’s Success by Design methodology.
- Lead solution design workshops and advise clients on ERP modernization, process optimization, and digital transformation strategies.
- Provide technical leadership during implementation, testing, deployment, data migration, golive, hyper-care, and production support.
- Define data migration, reporting, security, licensing, and integration strategies for Business Central implementations.
- Ensure solutions comply with Microsoft security, governance, compliance, and performance best practices.
- Collaborate with functional consultants, developers, technical architects, project managers, and client stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Mentor consultants and developers while promoting architecture standards, reusable assets, and implementation best practices.
- Evaluate emerging Microsoft technologies, including Copilot for Business Central, AI capabilities, Power Platform, and Azure services, to enhance ERP solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of experience in ERP consulting and enterprise solution architecture.
- At least 7 years of hands-on experience architecting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central functional and technical architecture.
- Proven experience leading Business Central implementation, migration, upgrade, and ERP modernization projects.
- Deep understanding of financial management, accounting, purchasing, sales, inventory, warehouse, manufacturing, project management, and service management processes.
- Experience designing integrations using Azure Integration Services, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, API Management, Dataverse, REST APIs, and Business Central web services.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Copilot integration.
- Experience designing Business Central extensions using AL language, Visual Studio Code, and Extension development best practices.
- Strong understanding of Business Central administration, security, role-based permissions, licensing, and governance.
- Experience with data migration tools, RapidStart Services, Configuration Packages, and upgrade methodologies.
- Excellent communication, consulting, leadership, stakeholder management, and client-facing presentation skills.
- Experience delivering projects using Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid implementation methodologies.
Required Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (Preferred)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (Preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing global, multi-company, and multi-country Business Central implementations.
- Consulting or Microsoft Partner/System Integrator background.
- Experience integrating Business Central with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Service, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI, and Copilot.
- Familiarity with AppSource solutions, ISV applications, EDI integrations, banking interfaces, payroll systems, tax engines, and enterprise middleware platforms.
- Experience working in Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail, Professional Services, Wholesale, Healthcare, or Financial Services industries.
- Knowledge of Business Central upgrade strategies, cloud migrations, performance optimization, and governance frameworks.
- Experience contributing to architecture review boards, technical leadership initiatives, and solution governance.
- Additional Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365, Azure, or Power Platform.
