Position Overview

We help organizations modernize and optimize their ERP landscape by delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions that streamline financial operations, supply chain processes, manufacturing, and business performance.
We are seeking an experienced D365 Business Central Implementation Lead to oversee end-toend Business Central implementation projects for enterprise and mid-market customers. The successful candidate will lead project delivery, coordinate cross-functional teams, engage with executive stakeholders, and ensure successful implementation of Business Central solutions while maintaining project quality, timelines, and customer satisfaction.
This is a remote-first role open to candidates based in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central implementation projects from project initiation through go-live and post-production support.
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, resource planning, risk management, and delivery governance.
- Conduct discovery workshops to understand business requirements and translate them into implementation plans.
- Lead functional design sessions covering Financial Management, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, Sales, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Manufacturing, Project Management, and Service Management.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects, Functional Consultants, Technical Consultants, Developers, and customer stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop project plans, implementation roadmaps, milestone tracking, communication plans, and status reporting.
- Coordinate data migration, system integrations, testing activities, user acceptance testing (UAT), training, cutover planning, and production deployment.
- Ensure Business Central implementations follow Microsoft’s Success by Design methodology and industry best practices.
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, change requests, and escalation processes.
- Facilitate executive steering committee meetings, project governance reviews, and stakeholder communications.
- Oversee system configuration, solution validation, and quality assurance activities to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Support organizational change management, end-user adoption, and knowledge transfer initiatives.
- Mentor project team members and contribute to delivery methodologies, templates, and implementation best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance delivery efficiency and customer success.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 12 years of experience delivering ERP implementation projects.
- At least 5 years leading Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central implementation projects.
- Proven experience managing multiple end-to-end Business Central implementations across various industries.
- Strong understanding of Business Central modules including Financial Management, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Warehouse, Manufacturing, Project Management, and Service Management.
- Experience managing ERP implementation methodologies, project governance, and delivery frameworks.
- Knowledge of Business Central configuration, data migration, integrations, testing strategies, and deployment planning.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional implementation teams including functional consultants, developers, architects, and business stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Azure Integration Services, Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft 365, Dataverse, and Business Central integrations.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Excellent project management, leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and customer engagement skills.
- Experience using Microsoft DevOps, Azure DevOps, Jira, Microsoft Project, or similar project management tools.
Required Certifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent (Preferred)
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals (Preferred)
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate
Preferred Qualifications
- Consulting or Microsoft Partner/System Integrator experience.
- Experience delivering global, multi-company, and multi-country Business Central implementations.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Copilot for Business Central, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Microsoft Fabric.
- Experience managing Business Central cloud migration and ERP modernization projects.
- Familiarity with AppSource solutions, ISV applications, EDI integrations, banking interfaces, payroll, and tax solutions.
- Industry experience in Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail, Wholesale, Professional Services, Healthcare, or Financial Services.
- Experience leading executive steering committees and enterprise transformation initiatives.
- Additional Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365, Azure, or Power Platform.
